Aleksanteri Ahola-Valo (1900-1997) was an artist, architect and a scientist who in 1997 was given the name of a honorary professor of Education. The destiny of an individual and the grand changes of the modern 20th Century society meet in a unique fashion in the life of this dedicated teacher and a torchbearer of a new age. Ahola-Valo was an eye wittness to a whole century, a man who never settled for the role of a mere bystander.
